You could visit all the legendary clubs of Beale Street to the blues haunts of the Mississippi Delta, and you’d still come up short of the incredible lineup assembling together this Memorial Day Weekend Sunday at Allen Event Center, 200 E. Stacy Rd. Allen, Texas. The Robert Cray Band, Jimmie Vaughan, Robert Randolph and The Family Band, the original Ian Moore Band and Tyler Bryant & the Shakedown are all set to take the stage during the first true festival event held at the arena.

Deborah Ballard’s ‘Alter Ego’ is at Valley House Gallery Thru Mid-June!

Valley House Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition of sculpture by Dallas artist Deborah Ballard in the gallery and throughout the sculpture garden. The human form is her subject. Body language, emotions, relationships, and dialogue between multiple figures are more important to Ballard than portraiture. Her sculptural works are conceived in groups of figures relating to one another. She allows for her figures to effect and be affected by the mental and physical aspects of everyday life that are anything but commonplace. “I feel that these figures will invite each viewer to bring their individual experiences, creating meaningful interactions with the sculpture.”
